HowellSlabJacking has been helping homeowners and businesses across Central Indiana and Central Illinois lift settled concrete for over 35 years. SlabJacking is not just something we added as another service. It is what we have specialized in for Decades.
Our story started back in 1989 when my Father, Ron Howell, first got started in SlabJacking. A few months later, I joined him and together we started Howell Concrete Lifters in Lincoln and Decatur, Illinois. We were Decatur & Lincoln’s 1st SlabJacking Specialist.
In 1992, I moved to Indiana and started what became Indianapolis’ 1st SlabJacking Specialist. Long before most people in our area had ever even heard the term SlabJacking, we were already out there Lifting Settled Concrete.
Today, HowellSlabJacking proudly continues as a 3-generation family trade.

While newer PolySlabJacking methods have become popular, Traditional SlabJacking remains a tried and proven method for lifting settled concrete. Over the past 35+ years we have used several different materials depending on the project and conditions.

We Don’t Just “Level” Concrete
Many companies today use the term “Concrete Leveling.” We prefer the more accurate term:

Most concrete around a home is not supposed to be perfectly level. Driveways, patios, porches, sidewalks, and steps are usually poured with drainage in mind so water flows away from the structure properly.
The goal of SlabJacking is usually to lift settled concrete back toward its original grade while helping maintain proper drainage.

Many of the pictures on our website are actual jobs we completed years ago. Some are over 25 years old and still holding strong today.

One customer recently shared a story about a floor we lifted nearly 30 years ago. The floor had cracked and started sinking after a remodel removed a supporting wall. We lifted and stabilized the floor, and according to the homeowner, it has remained solid ever since.
Now nearly 30 years later, they called us again to help stabilize a detached garage foundation affected by erosion.
