Concrete slabs can settle for many reasons. Most of the time the slab itself is not the problem. The issue is usually what is happening underneath the concrete.

Step 1: Inspect & Drill
We inspect the slab and identify where support beneath the concrete has been lost. Small access holes are drilled in strategic locations.
Step 2: Pump Material Beneath The Slab
Material is pumped beneath the slab under pressure to fill voids and gradually restore support.
Step 3: Lift, Support & Finish
The slab is carefully lifted toward its proper position while supporting surrounding areas and matching adjacent concrete sections as closely as possible.

Yes. Concrete naturally cracks over time. As the old saying goes, concrete is guaranteed to do two things: get hard and crack. In many situations, cracked slabs can still be lifted successfully. The goal is usually restoring the slab toward its original position and reducing separation between cracks and joints. Depending on the situation, cracks can sometimes also be addressed afterward.
Every slab is different, so pricing depends on several factors including location, access, voids beneath the slab, and the amount of settlement involved. Most residential SlabJacking jobs typically run between $600–$1,900, although larger projects can cost more depending on size and conditions.
Not necessarily. We have lifted tens of thousands of slabs over the past 35+ years that someone else originally poured. Nothing is permanent. If the support under the slab continues sinking because of erosion or ongoing settlement, movement can happen again. However, when drainage and erosion issues are controlled, many slabs remain stable for many years.

Scheduling depends on current workload, weather, job size, and location. Sometimes projects can be completed fairly quickly while other times scheduling may take longer. We coordinate multiple projects throughout Central Indiana and Central Illinois and work everyone in as quickly as possible.
Voids can develop for several reasons including water erosion, poor soil compaction, animal activity, or natural settlement over time. When support beneath the slab disappears, the concrete no longer has consistent support and can begin sinking.
